In this project Product Design Engineers, Innovative Manufacturing, Manufacturing, and Engineering Management students were mixed and divided into groups of five. Each group was competing for a manufacturing contract by presenting their business model.

Students were expected to create a fictional company which manufactured a BAE battleship component. The final presentation would prove that the company was financially solvent and demonstrate how the company would work. As part of a group, we set the price of components and convinced assessors that we were the best manufacturer for their component.

This was one of my most successful and interesting projects as we considered real life issues related to creating and running a business.
