Software Training and Coursework
2016-2017
Finite Element Analysis (FEA), was an optional module which I chose as part of my final year studies. The module trained students in using two pieces of FEA software: Abaqus and Marc. It also involved analysing the deflection of a metal beam using the Ray-Ritz and Matrix Stiffness FEA methods. In addition to this, Beam Theory was also used as a way of verifying the results.
The images above show how I programmed Excel to complete FEA calculations. I've included FEA models I created while learning Abaqus and Marc.
